Shopping with the eyes

Yep, this is our city right now, grey and snowy.

Thankfully, some vendors at the annual NYIGF (gift fair) greeted us with colors and eye-candy displays and the day wasn't so bad in the end.

Coats and boots

New York is about to wrap up its fashion week, again closing the book on what we can expect to be the styles of next Spring.

And yet, we are about to unpack coats and rain-boots from the back of the closet and welcome Autumn.

Therefore, we leave you today with a little fashion poem from designer Minä Perhonen.

A summer standard: Renegade!

Last weekend was the annual Renegade Craft Fair taking place right by the East River waterfront.

Those of you who attended know how HOT it was!  But it was great to meet artisans from all over the country, mingle with the crowd while enjoying delicious local food and finally cool off by the lemonade stands.

We had a great time.

The "hunting" season has started again.   

As usual, scouting the NYIGF is exhausting but also very inspiring! 

Finding new designers and talking with them about their products and passion is such an interesting process.

International Gift Fair in NY

The fun season has already started for us.
We are hunting for the best gifts in anticipation of the fall season starting soon here in Brooklyn!
Our first stop was the NYIGF. As always, it is a fulfilling experience to meet creative designers and like-minded people.
