A Happy Anniversary

Last Sunday we had the pleasure to celebrate one more time our many years (9 to be precise!) in business. 

It is really because of the support and the great community of friends and loyal customers that we are still going strong and we want to thank again every participating soul in this great adventure of a business that is Commune Salon & Gift! We love our community.

As usual, the party was a blast.  The kids are growing and families expanding and we couldn't feel happier to see everyone gather around good music and good food.

Six days left until Mother's day,  always timely in sync on the calendar with the spectacular colors of spring.   The peonies season is in full swing and we thought we would pay tribute to all the awesome moms out there by posting some beautiful spring compositions designed by the skillful hands of floral designer Nicolette Camille and by the talented Saipua team. 

Both floral studios are based in Brooklyn.

Hope for Japan, a year later.

On March eleven, it will be the first anniversary of the tragedy that moved all eyes toward japan and we want to remind you that people are still very much in needs.

There will be a lot of tribute and memorial events throughout the city this weekend so check your local news and calendars. 

Here is a link to the fund raising event in Brooklyn we'll be attending on Saturday the 10th.

We hope to see you there and share a smile, a glass of wine and a prayer for the great people of Japan.

We would like to thank all of you who made generous donation at Commune in April and also who came to the fundraising event on 4/17 at Studio b.p.m. All of donation goes straight to Miyagi Prefecture local government to support earthquake victims to live and rebuild their future.
